If your child has an incipient or small area of dental decay, we may recommend a white “tooth-colored” or resin filling to restore the tooth. Resin fillings are bonded to your child’s tooth after the affected enamel is removed. It is important that your child brushes and floss so that the filling does not get recurrent decay around it. Also, it is best to have your child avoid sticky candies that would fracture or pull out the fillings.
